We have thousands of negatives of the University of Alaska's (KPC) Jazz Iz Dancers, as well as hundreds of images of the Samba Olywa dancers; and the Blacken Tan Dancers of Olympia, Washington. Additionally, we have images in our portfolio of several individual dancers individually who have posed for us in the wilderness as well as on stage.
The surprise of the slow shutter speed combined with dancer's movements have produced images suggestive of the ethereal quality of such an expressive medium. Additionally, we have focused upon the "gesture" of the dance - that symbolic physical expression of the mood a particular piece may express.
